Read The Cue. React. Respond.
Unpredictable cues that force a decision.
BeepSync's cue-based drills interrupt fixed, over-rehearsed sequences with prompts that change, so you're training the response itself, not just repeating a combination you already know is coming.
Cue Sequence and Cognitive Drills are built into BeepSync Pro.
Most combination drills reward memory more than reaction: once you know what's coming, you're not really reacting to anything. BeepSync's reaction-focused drills use unpredictable audio prompts — cue sequences, combos and cognitive recall — so the response has to happen in the moment, not from a script you've already learned.
These are gamified drills: custom-built games designed to test timing, reaction and cognitive recall, not just repeat a combination on a loop.
What Reaction Training Needs
Unpredictable prompts
Cues that change, not a fixed sequence you can memorise and coast through.
Response, not just recall
A cue that asks for a decision in the moment, rather than a combination you already knew was coming.
Defence and counter cues
Prompts that cover defensive response and counters, not only attacking combinations.
Rhythm that interrupts
Timing that shifts, so training the response stays harder than training the pattern.
Cue Sequence Drills
Cue Sequence Drills ask you to hear, remember and repeat cue sequences under time pressure, mixing attacking, defensive and counter prompts so the drill doesn't settle into a predictable pattern.
Trains: Cue recognition, response timing, decision-making

Cognitive Drills
Cognitive Drills add memory and recall load on top of the reaction itself, layering pattern recall on top of cue response so decision-making stays under pressure for longer.
Trains: Memory, cue recall under pressure

Running A Drill
Step 1
Choose a drill
Start with a Cue Sequence Drill or Cognitive Drill built around hearing, remembering and responding to prompts.
Step 2
React on the cue
Respond to what the cue actually asks for, not what you expect it to ask for. That gap is the point of the drill.
Step 3
Review and repeat
Check the session afterwards, then run it again as prompts and timing continue to vary.
BeepSync does not clinically measure reaction time and does not confirm whether the correct technique was performed. It delivers the cue and structures the drill; judging and correcting the response is on you, or a coach.
Common Questions
Are the prompts random?
Prompts and timing vary between sessions so you're responding to the cue in the moment, rather than working through a sequence you've already memorised.
Can I train defence and counters?
Yes. Cue Sequence Drills and Cognitive Drills cover defensive response and counter prompts alongside attacking combinations.
Does BeepSync measure reaction time?
No. BeepSync does not clinically measure reaction time or confirm whether the correct technique was performed. It gives you the cue and the structure; you judge your own response, and Post Session Check lets you record how the session felt.
Is it suitable for beginners?
Yes. Drills scale from simple cue recognition to more demanding combo and cognitive work, so beginners can start with the basics and build up as cue recall gets easier.
