An MMA Round Timer For Striking, Grappling And Conditioning

One timer, every phase of the session.

MMA sessions rarely stay in one gear. BeepSync's round timer holds the structure across striking rounds, grappling rounds and conditioning blocks, so the session keeps moving without anyone checking a clock.

Built into BeepSync Pro. Elite adds Edge and Adaptive for pressure and personalised sequence work.

An MMA round timer has to cover more ground than a boxing bell. BeepSync's Round Timer sets round length, rest and warning cues for whatever phase you're training — three-minute or five-minute rounds, striking, grappling, or straight conditioning — and runs it on clear audio so the round holds up whether you're training solo, with a partner, or leading a group.

One Timer Across The Whole Session

MMA training moves between disciplines inside a single session. The Round Timer doesn't need to know which one you're doing.

Striking rounds

Standard round and rest lengths for stand-up work, with the same warning cue and bell structure fighters train to.

Grappling rounds

Time positional work, live rolling or transition drilling without a partner needing to watch a wall clock.

Conditioning blocks

Mix work and rest ratios for the general physical preparation that sits underneath fight-specific skill work.

Pad and drilling circuits

Run repeatable circuits where each station gets the same round length and the same rest, every time.

Structure And Cues, Not Coaching

BeepSync structures the round and cues the timing. It does not teach grappling or striking technique, and it does not replace a coach's instruction or correction. What it gives you is a round that starts, warns and ends the same way every time, so the technical work stays in the hands of the people actually coaching it.

BeepSync is a training-session timer and cue instrument, not an MMA technique coach. Use it to structure and time rounds, not to learn or correct technique.

Building A Mixed Session

Step 1

Build the session shape

Set round length, rest and how many rounds you need, whether that's a single five-minute round or a full circuit.

Step 2

Switch emphasis between rounds

Run a striking round, then a grappling round, then a conditioning round, using the same timer for the whole session.

Step 3

Keep the phone visible, not in hand

Set your phone down or mount it where you can see it. The timer cues the round; you and your partner stay working.

When You Want Pressure Or Camp Structure

For fighters preparing for competition, Elite adds Edge, with built-in Fight Arcs for changing pressure and opposition cues, plus an optional AI-supported tool for generating additional arcs. Adaptive builds today's session from your recent work and check-ins. Coaches organising camp blocks can also use Fight Camp tools to structure prep across a training block, not just a single session.

Common Questions

Can I use three-minute and five-minute rounds?

Yes. Round length is fully configurable, so you can set the standard three or five-minute MMA round, or any custom length your session needs.

Can it time striking and grappling circuits?

Yes. The Round Timer doesn't care what you're doing inside the round, so the same structure works for striking rounds, grappling rounds, pad circuits or conditioning blocks.

Does BeepSync teach MMA technique?

No. BeepSync structures and cues your session with rounds, rest and timing. It does not teach striking or grappling technique, and it is not a substitute for a coach.

Can coaches use it for group sessions?

Yes. A visible, audio-led round timer works well for group and pad-circuit sessions, where everyone needs to hear the same round and rest cues at the same time.
